I’ve installed a new screen on my edge 1000. Seems to work well other than the 2hrs on a full charge.
The screen is from Ali express and has good feedback. But since then the issue has appeared.
Any ideas . It did try to pair a Power meter but I think I stopped it.
If the screen is an original (Lord knows how you tell for sure these days) that's an odd problem.
That said, it's a bit niche to bother copying?
I would check the obvious and make sure no hidden little setting is turned on that is drawing extra current. I don't own a 1000, or a Garmin of any nature but I don't see the screen causing that. Unlikely anyway.
Possibly worth a factory reset to start from a set point perhaps?
Not heard specifically about Garmins but poor quality screens causing this problem in iPhones is something I’ve heard about a lot. (Although potentially a short circuit resulting from careless fitting could also be a cause).
