Edge 25 won't pick up cadence sensor any more. The batteries are fine (at least, the green LED flashes for 5 seconds or so when I insert battery) but the Edge won't pair with it, says I need to 'wake' the sensor even though I've rotated cranks/taken it off and shaken it!

WiFi and Data turned off on phone just in case, Bluetooth Enabled on the Edge.

Anything else I'm missing?

Ta

Unpair it and start again.

I think there's a button combo to put the sensor in pairing mode...

have you tried switching edge off for a minute or so ? Mine used to get a bit 'confused' sometimes..

I get this intermittently and assumed that mine had failed when it wouldn't pair at all for ages (I'm using an Oregon 700).

In the end I removed the battery and left if for a few minutes before re-inserting it and this seemed to work; I'm wondering whether a protracted period of power loss might reset it.

I think that there should be green and red LEDs flashing at some point.

I also had an occurrence where the sensor wouldn't pair but did when I moved it further down the crank arm (possibly there wasn't enough centrifugal force to trigger the sensor's switch).

Thanks folks, have unpaired and tried to re-pair, this is when I get the 'sensor needs to be awake' message. The Edge is turned off frequently as well.

I noticed a software update being required the other day but pretty sure it was Garmin Express that needed updated, not the Edge itself.

Haven't tried leaving the battery out for a prolonged period though, will try this eve.
