[#12888131]

Had a spill on Tuesday, low speed, rather innocuos tbf but it's broken the ears on my Edge 1030. These rather small brittle bits of plastic cannot be replaced it seems so I have to buy a new unit at a rather significant cost.

Is there an equivalent that has a better design?

Have you contacted Garmin? You'll likely get a replacement for a lot less than the cost of a new unit.

Out of interest, where/how did you have it mounted?

Scotroutes - I have and it's still £130 and thered's household is not flush with cash atm

Standard mount but it's always the way with these slow speed spils, they do more damage than would be expected, my hip is killing me!

Which "standard mount"? I've always thought that the o-ring attached bar mount would cope with falls without damaging the unit.
