Just musing on doing this ride and wondering if it's still snowbound or doable?
If it is how long to do a clockwise loop from talybont?

Black Mountains were hard going yesterday, tracks still full of snow and mel****er. That's the path behind my tent in the picture below...

2weeks ago it was really dry..... I can see Penyfan & thats covered in snow still. soz thats not much help...
its a 3hour loop from talybont. 7hrs from cwmcarn

No that is a help thanks - I would be on my own doing it for the first time with a gpx so will wait for conditions to be better I think.
Alternative would be Cwm Carn but did that recently or FOD unless someone else can recommend something between Cardiff and FOD - not BPW as only have a part day.
