Anybody got any insight into whether these can be generic washers that fit between bearings or HAVE to be the specific washer that came with the original frame?
Seems that bearings don't differ by design but the washers do.......
Any troubleshooting tips?

Most of the washers on mine are custom shapes to fill any gaps and act as a dust seal. I've replaced a few with standard washers without any issues. As long as it doesn't rub there isn't much to go wrong with a washer.
