I am being a tight Yorkshire Man....however

I could do with some tights for winter running in cold conditions.

I also need some tights for road biking in the 0 to about 10 degrees temp range (I already have some thicker Roubaix type ones, but they are too hot most of the time!)

So are there any tights that will cross work for both purposes, or do cycling ones always feel uncomfortable running due to the different cuts required?

... and suitable for a short arse too. Inside leg 29", most running ones I have looked at so far are 33" inside leg + !!

I used skins full length leggings last winter for both with no issues,I got them for about £40 from wiggle I think. Their size guide is different to most so you need to have a look at the guide and not assume.

IME:
* Running tights have a lower crotch than cycling, they'll work but you might find you catch on the seat nose when shifting weight around.

* Cycling tights are generally a bit heavier to cope with the higher speeds. Bib tights sound dreadful for running, and they're often slightly shaped for a bent waist. Obviously a pad won't be ideal for running!

Personally I'd probably get the running ones and try them on the bike, if they work great, and if not you know what to do...

Ron hill if they still exist (mine are 20y old copies). Use some sort of waist band bum bag for the phone, a normal pocket will probably bounce too much.

I run and cycle but have specific legwear for each - bike tights are too warm to run in unless it's sub-zero and running tights aren't cut for riding a bike / let the breeze through.

I run in DHB Run tech tights, not long in the leg at all, I’m a 32” leg and if anything they’re a bit short in a large. Only £20 at wiggle at the moment, I don’t ride in mine, but I reckon I could if I needed to, probably warm enough for MTB under baggies, but not road riding.
Edit: it’s the £30 ones I have, iPhone 6 (just) fits in the pocket btw, doesn’t noticeably bounce either.
