i took mtb out there last year, didn't find anything waymarked. Did some exploring i find some relaxing trails. don't expect woody singletrack, do expect rubble and you'll be fine.

Does depend on where staying i suspect north may be a bit sandy to be fun

I've done lots of riding there. It's warm, sunny, mountainous with lots of tracks and trails, just make it up as you go along. I go to the south of the island, not sure where you're heading but do it any way.
