[Closed] Front mechs - difference in height?!?

Bought a front mech off the classifieds, only thought about the clamp diameter. Turns out it's around 2 cms too high to fit under the suspension linkage. I had no idea there's a third dimension to consider ๐Ÿ™

Yep sounds like you need a bottom mount one

There are conventional mechs

And then there are "top swing" designed for full sussers with limited room.

Oh yeah....remember something about top swing ๐Ÿ˜ณ What a t**t. 34.9 conventional mech anyone?

And there's more- had an older Scott FS in the other day that needed an E-type mech, turns out the newer types are taller than the originals(both top swing)and won't fit in under the swingarm.
