Just had my bike built by lbs and had it out over the weekend. noticed that my front mech wasn't shifting properly under load..seems like the chain is rattling of the mech slightly.its an xt triple setup with an xt mech. told lbs but they cant fit me in till next week.. want to get out and ride this weekend, its the one thing ive never fettled with on my bike.. can anyone give me any pointers. 😕

I had a problem where I hadn't lowered the mech to match the change from 53 to 50 on my road bike. The ring was bucking the chain as the mech couldn't trap the chain properly, seems obvious now 😳

It sounds like cable tension off the top of my head if the chain is rubbing where it should not. Barrel adjusters can tune this out (remember how many you do, only do small tweaks at a time).
