had my mountain bike frame crack on me whilst in wales
managed to get a brand new one sent to me from the company
went to put the bike back together and cant get the front mech to work properly.
ive set the clearance to the top chain ring to about 2mm
but when its in the smallest chain ring on the front the chain rubs on the bottom of the cage like the mech needs to be lower but obviously it cant get any lower because of the clearance levels at the top.
it only happens when in the smallest chainring on the front.it rubs on ever gear whilst changing on the rear cassette
ive tried two different mechs one deore and one XT both do the same.....the only thing that is different is the frame itself.
any ideas???
you need to unscrew your lower adjustment screw anticlockwise, marked with an 'L'. it'll move the cage to the left when you're in the granny ring. The cage won't move lower, but further left
its rubbing on the bottom of the cage not the sides though..
