just gone from a 52 to a 46 on my road bike (holdsworth super professional)

The direct mount mech hanger is too small to get close enough to the teeth, does there exist a product to help me out in this regard?

p.s. Cant use a band on converter as the seatpost is not round

jeez, they are expensive!

tbh my 52t compact died a death last autumn. I got a sub compact r8000 for very cheap and thought i'd try. I can always buy a 52t if I dont like it.

They don't make a sub-compact R8000 chainset. I presume that you mean the 46/36 setup (usually found on cx bikes)

decided I cant be doing with farting about with adapters and things and convinced myself to go for a 50t oval ring I've always tried to justifiy to myself.

Sell it and buy what you need with the money. It will be cheaper in the long run.
