Shimano quote a
in their front mech specs, described as the difference in teeth between the smallest and largest chainring. I am trying to find a replacement mech for a 24 34 42 chainset giving me a value of 18. Does anyone know id the tooth difference is a max / min / dead on value? or for instance could I run a tooth difference of 20 mech on a chainset with an actual difference of 18.Front chainwheel tooth difference
