Anyone replaced their air shock for a coil version on a 2009 Trek remedy 9?
Also what's the best way to know what length I need, do you measure from the lenght of the existing shock from say eye to eye when fully extended?
any advice wouild be great

A mate has one and I think it's a 200mm eye to eye x 57mm stroke Fox RP23 that's fitted.

You measure eye to eye for your length (with air in)
Measure the distance the air can moves along its shaft for its stroke (might need to let the air out)
No doubt someone will explain that better.
Or phone one of the suspension servicers and just ask

A quick check on the spec of the 2009 remedy describes it as 8.0 x 2.25, or 200 x 57.
