To quote Ben but in place of the mediocore (my opinion only) Forekaster, I stuck some 2.6 27.5 Specialized Ground Control T7 boots on my do everything HT and lo, speed was had.ย  Actually found these are also very grippy on most trail types which is a bonus.ย  Not "great" on off camber wet roots though. As a long distance, day out on many surfaces type tyre (Catchy? Nah), its pretty awesome ๐Ÿ™‚ย  Merry Chrissmas.

GC on the rear Purgatory on the front on my Stooge MK3. Rolls nice and fast.

Though, as you say, GC grip on wet roots is a bit sketchy - though tbf most tyres struggle!

Just put a big(3.0) xr4 on the front of my Stooge and amazed how such a big tyre can roll so well. Win,win.
