bought a SC superlight and tried to fit my chris King bottom bracket in , it did'nt feel right so continued about half way and decided to remove it the threads on the frame seem ok but not 100% I put my shimano bottom bracket in and it goes in a treat ...can the bottom bracket shell be re taped ? cheers

Hey, yes you should be able to get it done at most decent bike shops, I have the park tools BB facing and tapping tools.
thats a relief when I picked the frame up I was in a hurry could it be the frame was'nt faced ?
Facing is more for BB alignment, most bike shops will have a tapping tool. My first tool wasn't anywhere near as accurate as the park tools one.
Phone about see what the shops say. I used to buy and sell frames, I would always check the frame before I bought it. As in shock off, back end/bearings BB threads.
Got some funny looks but never got ripped off! so it's all good.
