Any reason I should avoid 2009 55r's ? I know certain 2008 models are to be avoided but I'd like to hear some personal experience

yes they are as bad as 08 or at least my rc3's were, 2010 however diferent story

wouldnt risk 09 tbh, 2010 on are excellent imho
