Go to the HMRC website, but from memory you pay 15% VAT plus 20% import duty.

Its 14% + VAT for complete bikes, but the HMRC website is a huge database of info and I can't find anything more useful..

Likely to be under/over 25% of the $800?

The import duty is a small amount compared to the VAT on the whole purchase, I think.

Not very good with figures - but I paid £100 total on a £400 fork - which I believe is 25%.

😉

Try phoning up HMRC and asking them?

don't forget the handling fee that the postal service charge for paying the vat on import that they reclaim from you later

The duty on parts is 4.8%

so ...

cost of frame + 4.8%
Plus shipping & handling

& then.......

Plus VAT @ 15%
