Extremely well made, extremely well designed, extremely good at their job, extremely expensive.
I got some from tredz for under £150. If they last me 3-4 winters like the trailcross gtx then I'll be happy with the cost/value. So far so good. Definitely harder to remove than the trailcross but not as bad as all the reviews suggest! I just put my hand down the back of the cuff to push on the heel cup.
Hmmm, a bit late for this year (he says optimistically) but hopefully there will be some summer bargains ready for next winter
I know the price seems a lot, but a pair of Shimano MW7s - the latest version of what was the 'original' mtb winter boot - is now £200 list. Actually, the Crank Brother Mallet Boa - a summer shoe - is £200 list now.
That's what stuff costs
My 10 years old Five Ten guide tennie refuse to die and are still waterproof, I bought another pair when they were discontinued and it looks like it my be a little while yet before they get used.
I lost interest at the cold feet bit.
Yeah the right socks etc, but I'm in the market for something waterproof but with some insulation especially at that price point.
Have used Trailcross GTX for a couple of winters and got on well with them. I do wear thick Sealskinz as an extra barrier. My feet get really cold though sometimes and I want to try some boots with a degree of insulation
Benji, how do you find the height? I read some other reviews that said they were still not quite tall enough to create a good overlap with the cuffs of (waterproof) riding pants.
As a long legged rider, this is a critical issue for me.

They aren’t like wellies but overlap well for me at 6foot and a bit and normal to long legs when I use my 7mesh waterproof trousers. The trousers are long and have cutable cuffs so you can tune the length.
