[Closed] Fox Transfer lever options

Hi.

I have just purchased a Fox Transfer post, and now need a lever.

Having looked online the Southpaw is the cheapest option and looks good but I believe this wont fit an Transfer?

Is there any other options slightly cheaper than Fox or is that it?

Just seems a lot (£60 odd) for a lever.

Transfer clamps the cable at the lever and the cable ferrule goes in the seat post end.

There are a few other levers that do this.  Wolftooth ReMote and the Bike Yoke Triggy Rear are the two obvious ones.  Neither are cheaper than the Fox unit but both are generally thought of as being better.  Can't really comment on this as I'm a Lev and Reverb user...

Wolftooth remote is the best i've used, can be had for about £55 from Ubyk so not a great deal less than the Fox, but it is a much better lever.

The Trek one is less than £20, runs on a bearing, feels good under the thumb, works well

There were a couple of Fox levers for sale on here not that long ago. Not sure if they ever sold of if you could hunt back to find the posts.

FWIW I really like the Fox lever.

In fact I've got a brand new boxed Fox lever you can buy off me - will undercut cheapest online price

I've got the bontrager (same as trek?) lever, which was £18 and works well. My only criticism is it doesn't have a return spring, so if the cable is a bit sticky you sometimes need to manually push it back; but then I also have the same issue on more expensive remote levers too.

Thanks everyone.

What style lever do you have Simon as I believe there is two options?

Wolftooth is nicer to use if you've got the cash, fox lever is fine too though I thought, just not as slick.

Do any of these levers have a return spring?

I've just fitted a SH Transfer tonight.  The brand new cable feels like it's stiff enough that it only just returns.  I fear it may get sticky as the cable gets gunky.

This is with the small Fox lever.

The return spring is in the base of the post (stealth version)

Mines an external version.  I have a fairly short seatpost so the external Transfer is one of the few 150 droppers to fit.

The Bontrager dropper lever is brilliant, much better than the Fox version, and only £17.49...
