The 34 Talas on the GF's Trance has stopped doing it's thing.
140-160mm, now stays at 150mm despite twiddling the dial and bouncing on the forks.
Last week was working fine. Serviced with little use thereafter two years ago.
Is this a common fault? Is it fixable?
Fork is performing normally otherwise.
Have you tried putting a cable tie down into fork seal , possibly a bit of air trapped after the service?
Hmm... Nope, but it's worth a try.ย Cheers.
Service was April 2021 and the fork had been working fine till a few days ago. Admittedly quite a lot of bike park trails, but still.... Odd.

So had this about 10 years ago, so thing may have changed in Talas-land. I put them in highest travel and let all the air out whilst gently pushing the forks up/down thru their travel, then repeated slowly adding air in steps. Repeated in lowest setting. This brought them back to life.

If its a 2016 or newer fork get a regular float air shaft and top cap and throw away the talas cartridge.

Not that easy at 1948m up.
It's a 2016 Giant Trance SX, so not sure if the fork will be 2015 or 2016 model.
