I have just taken order of my new Canyon Nerve AL+ with 150mm travel it has the talas performance fork CTD that flips between the above 120 & 150 settings.
I take note from previous threads i've seen on here that ideally the travel is dropped for climbs and xc trails. Which is great but beacuse I have the CTD rear shock as well does this mean the shock will always stay at 150mm travel???
So for the alps i'll run it at 150/150 but on my local xc trails/uphill it will be 120/150mm travel.
If the rear shock cannot be adjusted except in CTD does that not compromise everday trail riding as 150mm rear travel seems be too much or is it not noticable?
Sorry if its a bit of a daft question but it was puzzling me a little.
Cheers for your replies.
The travel adjust (talas) is separate to the CTD damper settings on the fork in that changing between climbing, trail & descent won't change the travel of the fork.
CTD adjustment is on top of right leg, talas on top of left...up to you if you want to drop travel to 120 for climbing etc
Rear will always be 150
