Fitted a new RP23 HV sleeve and changed the seals over on my RP23 tonight (what am I doing, look at the date....). Deflated the shock, removed the can, changed all the seals and refitted. Used the Fox Youtube vid for pointers. Put it all back together and it is not taking any air, it appears it is at the valve / pump connection not the body?

I have checked the pump on the forks and that is fine.

I have tried re-fitting the old stock can and same thing.

Any idea please all, Friday the 13th is killing me... I also reversed my car into a post in Ikea today.... 🙁

2 things to add,

The shaft was turning as I undid the can, does this matter, I was not unscrewing anything was I?

I used a screwdriver to depress the valve lightly, it does not look damaged.

Have you got a valve core remover?...whip it out, give it a clean and stick it back it.

does the pressure go up with pump on and loose all pressure when you remove it?
if so the valve may have dirt on the seat

Are you sure its leaking form the seal? tried popping it into a sink full of water yet?

I had a similar problem with my DHX Coil and the air piggy back but leaking.

I removed the valve core and popped a new one in (from an old innertube)

it worked.

It is not taking any air, just leaking out as fast as I put it in. Will get a core remover tomorrow to see if that is it, could deflating it all the way cause a valve issue?

use needle nose pliers to remove the core

Core removers are only about £3 or £4 from Halfords. Worth having one at that.
