Hi all,

Im going to give my Fox Float forks a bit of TLC and put in some fresh seals and oil. Ive found a service manual and the relevant oil levels but I just have one small query...

Should any old oil be cycled out of the damper cartridge prior to reassembly? Im guessing I should but just wanted to make sure...

Thanks in advance, any help is much appreciated.

yes, cycle the damper to remove all the oil.

I always give the insides of the legs a good squirt with degreaser and a thorough rinse to get all the old crap out the bottom (remove the bottom out thingys first).

Have a look on this thread, foxyrider posted a couple of good links - I've followed the Enduro fork seals one and it's pretty good.

Yeah, if you pump it a few times the oil comes out. Hardest thing is pressing the seals in place all the way, requires some force. The rest is easy, I just followed the service manual on the fox website.
