Hello all.

In June I looked at a bike with intent to purchase, the forks (Fox Float 36 2010 R) when cycled, would 'clunk' when passing from compression to rebound.

The owner of the bike offered to get them repaired before sale, so I agreed. On sale day, he presented me with a receipt from a reputable service centre, he said that they had told him they could find nothing wrong with the assemblies inside the fork, but serviced them anyway and it cured the problem. I tested the forks (which were great) and that was that.

Out on the bike yesterday, approximately 15 rides later, the clunk returned.

I found that if I lay the bike upside down and cycle the forks a few times, then put the bike back on it's wheels, the clunk disappears - but only for a few cycles - and then returns.

Any ideas?

Thanks
