Yes, another gripe about formula rotor prices.
Worse in my case as I've got a pair centrelock hubs -- looking at over 100 quid for rotors on wiggle!
anyone know if shimano work ok in R1s?
will I damage anything other than the pads and rotors, if I damage something?
And yes, I've heard the one about buying a porsche and not being able to afford the tyres. . .

I'm going to be selling a new pair of formula rotors soon, awaiting delivery of new bike but going to change the formula R1's that it comes with for XT.., If interested get in touch.

They'll fit fine, I've had had formula, avid and alligator rotors on my K24's...best of British setting them up tho they're a royal PITA ๐Ÿ˜€

I've no idea about Shimano - I run Hope floating with my R1s (the same rotors I previously used with B4SLs). I'm fairly sure Shimano would work just as well though - rotors are in general fairly interchangeable (I've run Formula rotors with Avid brakes). I also have some spare Formula rotors, though 6 bolt ones.

Are formula rotors slightly thinner than some, you may find that they rub a bit more using some of the other brands. Can you not pick up some centre lock 6 bolt adaptors SH and then fit the 6 bolt formulas ?

thanks all
I've heard of lots of noise running shimano, Moda, not surprised to hear they may be thinner . . .
yes, I have a 6 bolt adaptor and can get another, but my adaptors add 100 g to the hubs;
i have fancy DT hubs and could have stuck with Hope Pro 2s for that kind of weight!!
But silly, I know.
