Hi,

My bike has the standard rims still which uses formula 32H hubs. I want to upgrade my shimano 10 speed cassette to the sram gx eagle cassette and wondered if anyone knows if it's possible to put an XD driver on a formula hub?

Tar in advance!

Mmmmm

On one bike I also still have Formula hubs. The OEMs love these hubs ...- they are dirt cheap! But there is close to no chance for us bikers for getting spare parts for Formula hubs.

In theory: it might be possible - like with old Shimano XT hubs - to take the freehub off.

But better: to do service on the formula stuff and not more. Bike the hub as long as possible.

That's what I do. And then I go with DT 370 (low cost DT hub) and pick the DT freehubs I need.

I'am not an expert with Formula stuff so. Others might know more / have better ideas.

If it were me I’d use it as an opportunity to upgrade my hub...

As above. Trying to get parts for formula hubs can be a nightmare.parts are available but what out exactly what hub you have is the hard part.

Best case is that maybe the source of the wheel (bike mfr?) may tell you what model Formula hub it is. Otherwise you’re in for a long time trying to match pictures to numbers trying to work out which hub you have.  The three pawl Onyx/370 DT Swiss hub mentioned above isn’t a bad budget option. XD drivers for it are about £25... 😉

Thanks guys, yes I suspected as much. Also I just had it confirmed that for my particular hub, it's not possible to put an XD driver on it.

I'll use it until it dies.

Cheers!
