Doesn't it depend how much you like fettling with your fork setup? But then what do I know I'm just a Van R simpleton!

what bike, out of interest & do you believe the travel adjust of the tala's will help your riding? (or even get used)

ermmm im getting a nuke proof mega frame and will be doing a reasonable amout of up hill but also enduro kind of riding. But the float comes with a lock out as well i think?

Fox 36's to go on a mega then, not 32's.

I prefer the spring curve on the floats. I never use the travel adjust and when I did, I'd often leave it in the wrong setting. Same goes for lock out. If It were me, I'd get the basic float (but in the 36s flavour)

Dunno, but 32mm stanchion forks on a bike like is all sorts of wrong.

32mm fine for enduro use, 36 is a bit overkill for a trail bike to for lots of miles on, IMO of course. A few ppl have spec's 140/150 forks on their Mega's quite happily. Your choice of course.

Dunno about the fox but I do know where you can get some ultra cheap Rev's (1.5 steerer).
But if you insist on fox, look for 1.5 or tapered steerer, as they'll fit the Mega & go for bargain prices compared to the STD versions (1 1/8)

Don't agree with the comments on 32s tbh, some people have very blinkered ideas about what should go on a bike. I'd built a Mega with coil Lyriks personally but 32s would work fine as well.

Adjustable travel, mmm. If you just want to shorten the travel in a hurry, for nontechnical climbing, then TALAS is good but the fork doesn't work as well as a Float, and at the short settings it doesn't work that well at all. If you think you might ride around at the shorter settings a lot, then a u-turn Revelation or Lyrik will do you much better as the fork functions well at all settings and isn't impaired just for having the height adjust options.

Float is a very nice fork, in either 32 or 36.

Depends on whether you mean actual enduro, or XC with delusions of grandeur 😉

Is the extra 4mm in stanchion diameter really noticeable? Just seems like 4mm isn't a lot and I can't feel any flex in either 32mm fork I have (Pike and an old Boxxer). Genuine question, not trolling or anything.

36 does look better though 🙂

I run a 32 float qr on one bike and van 36 on another. The 36 is a stiffer, better tracking fork although I can't say if that's stanchion size or axle type that makes the difference. I'd rather have both as 36s than both as 32s.

However, due to the silly cost of large diameter forks, I'm currently considering a return to marzocchi with the 55rv.

i really dont think i will be able to feel the difference between the 32s and 36s as they will both be a million times better then what i get now so would fox 32 floats 150 RL for a mega for £399 worth it?
