I'm using an '03 Marz MX Comp ETA on my 456 and its performed brilliantly for, well, 6 years now - though I'm leaning towards an upgrade.
What fork would work well with a 456. Most of my riding is general xc stuff, peaks, trail centres, sherwood pines stuff, with a few enduro's thrown in. Certainly no jumps etc.
I'd like something as maintenance free as the MX Comp, and something with a lockout or travel adjust.
What do you recommend?
Also, does anyone know any good sites with fork basics on - I think I should get more of an understanding of rebound, preload etc.
Well, and I'm sure I'm going to get it in the neck for this, I really like my Fox Float RL's which I've just converted to QR15. I've abused them for a year wipe and oil the stanchions after every ride, 30 seconds max, and they've been great.
You can get them with QR15 and I think it is, and the other bolt through QR's, the best development in forks since suspension.
