I grew up near the FOD and did a lot of riding out from peddleabikeaway in the 90's.

I haven't been there for ten or more years now but am heading that way this coming weekend.

I have seen a number of posts mentioning the FOD but wanted to find out what the consensus was on the amount of riding to be done there?

What be your findings?

I love riding in the Forest, and Cannop Cycle Centre has some solid tracks (MAP) - that probably wern't there 10 years ago, but there's plenty of good riding nearby too; Dr John's and Dowies (both near Parkend) to name just two

I know around 70odd miles worth of fantastic trails there. My favorite place to ride in the UK.
Unfortunatly to get the most out of a trip to the FOD you'll need to be shown some of the trails. I will be there on Sunday but not available to show you about this time ;-(
Maybe another time drop me a mail a few weeks in advance and I'll be more than happy to share some the secrets with you.
