Any Ford Galaxy owners on here? Is the back big enough (with seats down) to just wheel a bike in without having to take bits off it?

Cheers!

Old-style Galaxy:

- 26" - yes
- 29" - need to remove the front wheel (Singular Swift)
- 700c - yes
- 650b - no idea

New shape ones, probably not. They'll go in our smax upright with wheels off but the fold flat seats take up space.

Older version so 2002 reg I could wheel in my santacruz bronson and stand it up even with a big dog and her bed inside it. Wheel it in down the centre and then turn bars and lean and it moves to the side

I had a VW Sharan (same body as Ford Galaxy/Seat Alhambra) for 12 years. I used to take the front wheels off, take the back two seats out and tip as many middle seats forward as required. I used the seat mounts in the floor to attach ratchet straps to hold the bike(s) upright.

combination of big wheel/long fork travel/wide bar might mean you have to tilt the bike to get it through the rear hatch which is much smaller than the rest of the interior but otherwise yes they wheel straight in.

I bought an old Alhambra specifically for bike carrying duties and still have it for that purpose 5 years on. I've left the back row of seats permanently out as I don't need them, but it gets used for all sorts of combinations of people and bikes.

From a while ago (useful pic for reference)

54 plate.
Rigid 29er fits ok.
140mm trail bike goes in fully built too.
It's hauled the caravan across France a few times.
It's heading to Bike Park Wales tomorrow in fact, full of bikes & blokes.

09 plate (current shape) here. Two 27.5 bikes with 780mm bars fit in the back easily with all rear seats down, wheels on

Brilliant biking car, not far off the practicality of a van.

Galaxy (new shape) offspring box here. Also seats up, wheels off you can stack across the back upright. My Berlingo is the one they usually has bikes in though, easy to load.
