Fake news.

Edit: more credible information here https://m.pinkbike.com/news/forbidden-hints-at-new-emtb.html

Not much of it though.

Im clearly missing something with that DJI motor. As my eeb cuts out past 15mph (like everyone elses) and you need to select lower settings anyway for tech climbs i just don't get what you want that extra output for?

Plus they are doing that trick of fitting a slightly smaller battery to keep weight down.

I guess "tech climb" is quite a broad reaching term that means anything that is ont a graded fireroad or tarmac.

Aside from the headline grabbing peak power (which screams "look at me!!") and the integration/electronics side (which given DJI is a tech company first, you'd hope would be better than the competition), they're not actually doing anything that amazing.

Battery weight/density is similar to others - 600wh for 2.9kg. Another 580wh battery is 2.7kg, so nothing special.

And motor weight is only 200-400g lighter than other full power motors.

The tech improvements are great (as in the screen/app etc) but other than that it's just headline grabbing power which you won't be able to use 98% of time time, apart from flying up a fire road climb at 15mph.

True. Im my somewhat limited experience though, once a climb hits the sort of level where i would be chuffed to clean it on my regular bike then the 85nm power of the full boost setting is way too much and the bike just wants to loop out all the time.

I don't understand ebikes without removable batteries.  I'd buy the Fobidden E-Dreadnought if it allowed for battery swapping.  For me, an ebike gives me the opportunity to fit two days riding in one day by using two batteries.
