Hi. Ive got an old hardrock hardtail with dodgy rst 80mm forks. Im looking to turn this bike in to a touring machine with racks etc to do some camping. Id like to replace the forks with some corrected ridgid forks. However im struggling to find some cheap forks suitable for v brakes. Has anyone got experience or advice? Thanks.

Kona P2 forks worked on my 2005 Hardrock frame.

No braze ons for a front rack but there are work rounds if you are going to want front racks.
I've got 4 bikes and the rigid Hardrock gets the most miles year round except when I do big tours on my Long Haul Trucker.

If you can't find the V brake version new they turn up all the time second hand.
