Can we start a petition to get Bontrager to reinstate the mud?

I reckon the mud is adequate as it is! 😀

Did there used to be a mudscraper thingy that you could put on motorcycles to prevent this?  I seem to remember something from many years ago

2.2 Wet Screams. Not sure if they make them any more though. I ran an uncut one on the front and one on the rear with the centre knobs trimmed

At the aforementioned Mayhem 2012 I rode with Schwalbe Black Sharks. This did enable me to keep going when almost everyone else spun to a halt, but as someone sagely pointed out, "if the conditions are bad enough to need Black Sharks, you shouldn't be riding". Which was a fair point. My night lap at that Mayhem took well over 2hrs at an average speed of 5.7mph and an average HR of 175.

Reminds me of the misery I suffered riding the pass’ portes back in around 2014. Never been so cold on a bike going up the first lift, pissed down all day. Coming down the final descent of the day my wheels just locked solid with mud. Couldn’t go more than 50 years without stopping to dig out the filth with a stick

misery from start to finish. As an added ‘bonus’ ended up getting shingles the week I returned as my body had taken such a battering
