Anyone got one of these?

Looks cracking in the flesh. I want to use it for a bit of everything, road, cx and brideleways.

Questions.

Anyone know if the R522 DT Swiss wheels are tubeless?

Anyone have the Tiagra hydraulics? How are they as I've only used the Ultegra level ones.

Would I get 38/40 tyres in there?

Would I be better on a Boardman CXR 9

I've got one from a year or so ago, built with SRAM so can't help with regards to your Shimano Q's.

Likewise, I use it for everything. Two wheelsets - one with 28c slicks, one with WTB Nanos.

The 40c Nanos are tubeless on the DT wheels you mentioned and they have been brilliant, also plenty of room in the frame for them.

The positives for the Focus that helped make my decision (compared to competitors at the time) was that it was thru axle front AND rear, with a threaded BB, full Hydro brakes, full carbon fork, all for a reasonable price.

Hi Oli, I have the 2017 105 Shimano Aluminium version and I love it. I'm running the G-ONE 40mm tyres (tubeless) on the R522 rims without any issues, with room for wider or mud guards if I feel the need. I did a load of research and got the bike for approx. GBP1250 from a local Focus dealer

Cheers guys. The Tiagra is £950 and given the above I think I'll give it a whirl!
