I've got a 160mm centrelock XT disc on my back wheel. If I lock the brake I can rock the wheel backwards and forwards a bit and the slack is between the disc and the central mounting part, the bit rivetted to the disc, as if the rivets are loose. Is this a problem or are they supposed to do that?

(one of my mates has one the same . . .)

My hopes did this, spoke to hope about it. They slowly wear at the rivots. Basically its a judgement call as to when you think they need to be replaced, mine had 2.5 years hard use. So not to bothered I had to replace it. To be fare to Hope had they been newer they would have replaced it.

Just that they're not described as floating rotors. That's why I asked - if they are then that's fine.
