not a roadrat......too flexy
not a croix de fer......too low at the front

something to audax/tour/pootle on.

any idea's.
i have a lht that is ideal except the braking.

Try a set of these big man. They are identical to Tektro 520 cantis.

Your not going to gain much over a 29er with thinner tyres. I'd try some lovely Panaracer pasela.

They are relly like hens teeth aren't they

Ton, I went for v brakes with some travel agents to make them work with my drop bars, they are ace and have loads of power.

that salsa vaya is grabbing most attention.
specced with some nice carbon flat bars and ergon grips.

never owned a salsa.

My kaffenback is very nice, two full panniers plus me, it all works fine. Ultegra though so that probably helps stuff like braking and that.
