[Closed] Fixing corroded downtube gear cable stop?

I've got an aluminium frame where the downtube cable stop for the front mech has gone and corroded - when I tried to remove it, I just ended up snapping off the outer part of the threaded steel insert.

So now I've got the remains of the steel threaded insert nicely stuck inside the aluminium "braze-on" (or whatever it's called).

Any suggestions for fixing this?

Thanks

I tried some GT85 yesterday, and today my easy out just got wedged in and only just came out, leaving the rod behind ๐Ÿ™

Depends on access, can you get a drill straight on it or does the head tube push the drill squint?

Heatube makes it a bit wonky. Might get in with a flexible end.

Are you thinking drill it out, then helicoil it?

I have drilled them out until you can pick out the thread, needs to be dead straight though. Then chase with a tap.

Could you get a small screw in from the other side? Might be enough to get it moving?

Removing bolts etc. that are so seized that they've snapped is not a job that easy-outs are designed for (no matter what the salesman has told you). It's not going to come out without a lot of aggro, even if you could get straight access to it, so why not cut your losses and fit an inline adjuster instead?
