Anyone know if the new M985 XTR calipers are different for front and rear positions. Just fitting a rear caliper on the front and clearance fron caliper to disc is 0.5mm!!! I thought only the levers were different ie. lh/rh levers?
Cheers

Nope, there is just one calliper which can then be made into a front or rear by the use of an adaptor if needed.

Do you have the correct adaptor for the rotor size?

No adapters req as forks are post mount. Its just the outer edge of the lower slot is just so close to the rotor (0.5mm) and even with the caliper at the end of the slot, I still had to move the rotor towards the caliper by 0.7mm using small washers. Just doesnt seem well thought out, either by shimano or the DT Swiss forks! Also if the caliper is on the front the bleed nipple is at the lowest point which is not ideal - on the rear it would be fine.
