73mm BB shell with a BB mount front mech, so no spacers in external BB.

So can't remove front mech, so no room left for ISCG mount.

Any way around this?

Just a thought:

Can you not fit it anyway - yes it will push the chainline out a little but this may actually be desirable since you are loosing one of the 3 rings - it'll even up the chainline in the smaller sprockets

Well the issue is of course the left hand crank won't fully fit on the splined axle as it will be 2.5mm short, can't imagine that staying on too long!

I'm assuming both with it being 73mm and you having some common sense that there are no spacers you can take out?

Think your gonna have to cut it! or change your cranks?!

Shimano do a wider XT crank to go on Tandems (or something along those lines) not sure on the width but its the M771 model: http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=23102 ignore what CRC have written there as thats the m770 description (but obviously double check with them prior to ordering).

Problem solved, though I'd post in case anyone has the same issue.

All you need isthis and just bolt on a bashguard.

Easy!
