[Closed] Fitting a chain device to an internal bottom bracket is it possible

Not entirely clued up myself hoping there is some1 out there who can help me I'm wanting to fit a bash ring and chain device but I'm running an internal bottom bracket and not sure if this is possible if not can I
Change the bottom bracket to an external 1 without to much bother

You will need a new chainset basically. BB mount stinger wil take the place of one of the 2.5mm spacers on the drive side. ( there should be at least one? )

Not sure if that is too much bother. I think it would be for me as external BB's seem to be made of cheese as far as bearing life goes, especially compared with good old square taper BB's.

Can you not just use a seat tube mounted chain device - summit like the Superstar one? Less fannying about all round.

Use a jumpstop save all the fannying around.

Yes you can, if you can find an e type bb the right size. They have an extra space for a bb mounted front mech & would give the space needed to clamp in the chain device.
