Is this possible without fitting a tow bar? It's a 2003 Mini Cooper with the glass roof and big plastic lump above the back window. So I don't think either roof bars or a rear mounted carrier will work. Any ideas STW?
I thought Thule had roof bars that clamped to the edges - fairly sure I found some when I investigated a mini as a second car.

I have an MX5 and bought a seasucker rack.
Used it about half a dozen times so far and it's very good.
Did a bit of a write up on it here

I've got a carrier for the early Mini cooper (I think it was a 2001) in my shed.
Not going to get another Mini
In East Lancs / Nth Yorks if you wanted to take a look.
Yours for a reasonable bottle of red if it fits

Tow Bar? If your planning on keeping the car a while then it'll be worth it. I think I used a company called towbarexpress who supplied and fitted for about £288.
Towbar, if you're keeping the car for long enough.

I think you'll find that 2001 is quite late, in Mini Cooper terms.
