After thousands of miles I've just worn through the bottom of my Rapha Touring shorts, which are excellent but out of production.
I also have some Kalf Terra which are even better in some ways, buy they too have been discontinued (I heard a version 2 was planned but half seen nothing of it)
What else is there along similar lines?

A bit spendy, but Aussie Grit have some stuff you might want to look at. Gradventouring is making some folk think about that middle ground of shorts a bit more.
These feel so nice to wear, just the right amount of stretch to make them comfy. Been doing loads of miles on the gravel bike in these.

Haglofs Lizard shorts are ace, have a nice built in belt and arnt flappy or too ££.
I'm happy with the fit of mavics (crossride I think?). Quite slim for a baggy.
I had a pair of Troy Lee Ace (maybe the Ace 2?), which were ace. Fitted, thin material, comfy and stretchy. The only downsides were that they only had one pocket (on the wrong side) and the taped seam fell apart after one wash, which was a bit of an issue. I returned them to Wiggle, still not sure if I ever got refunded.
I like Troy Lee Skylines. Two pockets!! Once the reflective logo flakes off they look good 😃

Check out the FWE ridgeway shorts. They're shorter but quite a similar fit, and great value. You can find them on ebay. I like them

I second Endura MTR, slim and lightweight.
Decathlon 'baggies' come in very fitted. I binned the liner short as it was nowhere near the same size as the outer .. barely wnet over my legs, might be a one off, but the shorts themselves were excellent.
