As per the title, can anyone recommend a decent personal trainer/coach? I live in Westbury Park & could do with some advice & help getting fitter: a 4 year old and a new baby & regular work in London means I dont get out as much as I'd like and I need to lose some weight & improve my basic fitness.

Or what about the army fitness thing that runs on the Downs - any good?

I know someone who has used these people and rate them, and I think they used to write fitness articles for WhatMTB etc, so they will be able to write a program to help specifically with riding.

However they aren't cheap

There's one just round the corner from the Cambridge. Lisa used to be an instructor at the gym I go to and was highly regarded.

I was wondering about that one TBH. My wife used to train with a girl there a few years ago but the trainer moved on a while ago.

The army thing is worryingly good. My girlfriend's been going to it for a while now. I used to take the piss, but then she started kicking my ass up hills on the bike...

You can go for free trial sessions I believe. Google 'British Military Fitness'.

They have sessions on th Downs Mon, Wed, Thurs evenings starting at 18.30.

friendly bunch. very effective work-outs. I've been going since beginning of Jan and have noticed a difference in my stamina.
