I'd go through wherever you bought the bike/part - your warranty is with them anyway and I think Fisher aren't too hot at respondign to direct contacts (my experience of an email query on some broken look pedals is that I still waiting for a reply 18 months later, anyway).

They only talk to their dealer network, according to my LBS.

I would go through the dealer but I bought the bike when i was living in Canada direct from the manufacturer. I dont want to have to send stuff back there.

Can i just take it to a fisher dealer then?

no uk warranty then - you'll have to send it back to canada.

Yeah I guess that makes sense. Its just frustrating as i will end up just replacing it because of how long it will take to ship to/get back from SRAM canada.

Ask Sram USA - explain the sitution. I have had Fisher UK Warranty stuff that was bought from America.
