Just back from a quick blast to test my first bike build and buzzing so thought I'd share.

Built for a total spend of 538 quid, its a slight mish mash of bits but a serious step up from the hardrock I've been riding. I've built it to be over-engineered in several places and taken the 'ah sod it' approach to weight (if I need to reduce the weight on the bike, i'll start with the excess 100lbs on the squishy biological bit)

Couple of things I want to do still like I'd like a slightly longer stem and maybe a layback post as I found myself cranking the seatpost up to try and find a bit of extra room in the cockpit.

Anyway, here she is. First ever build and I've learned a lot.

I feel like i'm 5 and its my birthday!!!!

You put your forks on backwards? That's where you went wrong. ๐Ÿ™‚

edit: nice build btw. Nice colour check, valve and logo alignment. ... check she's good to go with no imminent death. ๐Ÿ˜€

seatpost is a bontranger ssr. There's about 15cm still in the frame.

I think i could have done with a slightly bigger frame but I got this one as a freebie so cant complain. May look a bit silly but actually v comfy to ride
