Today, my Stans sealant arrived, so I've finally completed my first ghetto tubeless conversion. Didn't need a compressor to inflate, just used a track pump, tyre sealed onto rim and held pressure for about an hour or so without any sealant so I'm pretty confident it'll be OK - but being a fatty, I do wonder if it's gonna roll off the rim and kill me!
Mavic X517 rim, Schwalbe 20" presta tube, Panaracer FireXC Pro kevlar bead tyre.
Hopefully will be out riding it this evening, if I survive, I'll let you know how I got on.
