Hi Guys
I'm looking to get a bmx but have no idea what to look for as its my first one.
I dont want to get one too small, or too advance etc.
When they give all the measurements, I just dont know what I'm looking for :/
I dont know if there are types that are better suited for adults, but I'm 5'8"if it makes any difference
Any help would be much appreciated!

They are sold based on top tube length, for your height you will be looking at 20.5" to 20.85" top tube. Everything else is pretty much just based on the level of spec / price you want to pay.

I have just bought myself a bmx last week, I went for the 2017 Blank Icon 🙂

I'm about your height and ride a 21" TT as it feels "right" for me. I also have high bars as it's comfy. Here's mine (2011 WTP Volta) 😀

I'm also crap on it 😆 But hey it's fun 😀

Is be interestsed in suggestions for someone close to 6ft 4 as well. New job means I'll have about a mile on the bike and thought a bmx might be fun for such a short ride

Bmx is the best fun you can have on two wheels. I'm 43 and got one six months ago (2nd hand, £100) and got my six year old son one. I'm rubbish but we have lush fun messing about and riding down steps and stuff.
I can't help on size though 😉

Pickle, I would like to try and spend between about £100 - £170. As my first one don't want to spend too much straight away

I just checked out Winstanley BMX and they have a lot in your price range. Don't know how good they are to deal with though.

For that sort of money you're not going to get anything that's very good brand new, you're better off getting a good second hand one.
