[#8342298]

I have Specialized Fatboy.
The Raceface PF BB is made of cheese.
Any suggestions for a much more durable replacement?

Hope / Chris king......?
Fat bike bbs are the same as regular bb's - it's just the bearings are further apart. Ok the plastic cover in the middle of some bb's is wider, but other than that they are the same (just reuse the plastic bit if you have one).
The only exception is square taper (which you don't have).

Specialized recommending the Hope.
That may be where I end up.
Point of this post was to see if other options available.
Silly Oldman Thx. Have emailed mfg. That looks like a great solution. Have you used one of their products? Is a special tool required to chg the bearings when needed?

Yes - got a BB86/92 thread together unit on my Zealous.

Standard drift and bearing press tools to replace the bearings. Not needed them yet.

I replaced the E13 on mine with a like for like, as I didn't understand the options.

It's OK.

I replaced my E13 BB and 30mm cranks with a cheapo Shimano BB (the plastic one) and Middleburns.

Lots of miles on it now over the past 9 months or so and it's perfect. Plastic on plastice even seems to sort out the creaks.

My intention had been to use it until it Wheels made their screw tofgether one in full fatbike width, but I won't bother now. I have another £20 shimano one ready to swap in should this current one fail.
