Anyone got one? Wondering how you find it, and what the tyre clearance is like with guards fitted?
I take it you've seen the Cycling Plus (iirc) review?
Edit: Just looked, the Bike Radar online review is brief.
Looking elsewhere:
been in the shop, to-day, a couple of the test bikes had 37 x 622 "Smart Sam" fitted.....by eye, about 10mm mudguard clearance all round.

Johnny, yep. That's where my fascination started. The report they give it is glowing. It also seems to be incredible value for money. But neither the review or the website gives info on tyre clearance, well only vague info.
See my cheeky edit above! 😉
It wasn't released when I bought my last bike or it would have been on my shortlist. Looks amazing value. Couple of mates have bought Spa bikes and really liked the bikes and the service.
Just looked in the December copy of cycling Plus which gave it a rave review and they claim in the review it has 32mm marathon tyres fitted and in the photos it has mud guards, so looks like good clearance
MCTD, what did you end up with?
GT, 32mm clearance with guards is my minimum requirement. So its bang on the money.
Johny, good editing, good link. 😉
Sorry, only just seen this. Got a Condor Fratello Disc. Takes 28mm tyres with guards, as in the photo below:

Great bike, but the Elan would have been a tempting alternative.
So does anyone actually own an Elan Ti? Got a 100 mile ride coming up, and need to upgrade soonish. This bike is top of the pile currently, but would like an owner opinion before travelling a long way for a test ride.
MCTD, Lovely looking bike that Frat. Shame it doesn't have a touch more clearance. Which cages did you go with in the end?
I looked at this when I got mine, but they didn't have discs back then.
I bought a http://www.chargebikes.com/plug-5/ - ex demo frameset, double butted titanium rather than the plain gauge Spa.
I run 38mm Vittora Voyager Hypers £15 from DFS with full mudguards, plenty clearance.

I now have a Genesis CDF carbon fork with lowrider mounts.
I run 1x11 10-42 with 40T ring meaning I have a nice low bottom end for loaded hills, without losing much off the top.
It flies.
Urbanhiker - got Elite Ciussi as recommended. Local Halfords had them £2 cheaper than anywhere else.
