Saturday 23rd June is the inaugural 5 Valleys Gran Fondo, starting & finishing in Brimscombe, Stroud, Gloucestershire & taking in 80 miles & 2000 meters of the surrounding countryside (40 mile route also). Think short, sharp, steep climbing.

As I understand it, all profit goes towards my son's old primary school, which is hosting the event as well as having their school summer fair on the same day.

I'll likely be around, helping out on the day.

Yea, BC have graded it as 4 out of 5 which is "hard", which means it could always be worse & "damn hard". 👊

Puts my first, relatively sedate paced century with a tiny incline short of 9000 feet of climbing, a few weeks ago into perspective.

Is there a route link yet, to see what cat 2/3/4 hills are included? 😉
